Before entering in deep in the theme of tourism, let me tell you something about Peru, its location, geography and people.
Peru is located in the middle of South America on the Pacific Coast, its high mountains chain divide the country in three regions, the Coast near the Pacific Ocean with several extensions of desert lands and a relative few valleys, the Andes, with its high mountains and a few deep valleys and the Jungle (near Brazil) which is a vast rain forest land. This peculiar geography is in certain way obstructing the communications, as well as the way to maintain the people with the same reality, and create a diversity of micro-regions with its own traditions, expressions and even more important his own “way to see life”. However, in the other hand, it creates a variety in tourism, from millenary to modern cities, a variety of activities like alpinism, snow ski, surf, hiking, mountain biking, or just a simple relax on beautiful beaches and resorts along the three regions.
I hope you will enjoy this imaginary tour along the following weeks.
